MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer is an important player in his part of the Latin mainstream. Una Lady Como Tu (his 2016 hit) received the Colombian Kids Choice Award, 2017 Favorite Song. His debut album ADN was made available in 2017 by La Industria Inc., a Medellin-based Sony distribution company. The album climbed to number 8 within the Top Latin Albums Chart. In the following year, he joined forces with Ozuna for the creation of Vaina Loca which reached number five on the Top Latin Albums chart. In 2020, he collaborated with Noriel for Mala Influencia and released the album Dopamina in the following year. In 2021 he produced a duet for TINI's hit track Maldita Foto. The singer appeared with him in 2023 for 2000, which featured the hit single La Bachata. Turizo is a musician born into a musical family. His mother and brother were also musicians. According to him, music was a fundamental element of his existence. As a child, he was taught to play guitar, the piano and ukulele. He initially wanted to be a vet, but after his brother Julian convinced to him take lessons in singing with the help of a Cuban singer, he changed career plans.
