Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress who is best famous for her role in Beta Saajan, Hum Aapke Hai Koun, and Beta Saajan. In the 80s when she started her acting career, and was popular with the role of Tezaab, in which she starred alongside the veteran actor Anil Kapooor. Her next appearance was in Dil which she shared screen space with Aamir. In the beginning, as a teenager in Mumbai's middle class she began to learn how to dance. In her early years, when she first started acting as a young actress, most of the films that she made were not successful. Eventually she became one the most famous actresses in Indian films. She decided to take a break from acting following her marriage before returning to the industry of entertainment. More recently she played an integral character in the film Gulaab Gang which was about the struggle of women living in India. Dixit is nominated in fifteen Filmfare Awards. Of these she's received 8. Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian prize awarded to civilians in India, was bestowed upon her. Her social work is also well-known.
